Patriotic, hard-working, food lover, proud mama.
I quit my corporate career in Human Resources to be able to work from home and have more flexibility for my family, when my Army husband deployed in 2008. Fast forward to 2019, married 14 years and two kids later, I am still doing this work from home thing.
Keeping our heads above water while trying to raise a family, all while putting in a days work. Working and raising a family is not for the faint of heart - especially while doing it from home.
My Professional Stuff...
As a freelance business consultant I have experience ranging from writing to social branding and professional translator. I have worked with some incredible brands such as;
A&E, Lifetime Network, Chevrolet, Carnival and Ebates.
Currently I work for USAA as a Community Manager, as well as run and operate the military family support blog, Homefront United Network.
In 2013 I was honored to be named the New Jersey National Guard Spouse of the Year by Military Spouse Magazine and Armed Forces Insurance.
I have been a Board of Education Member since winning my seat in January of 2017, and in 2019, I was nominated for the seat of Vice President. I am an advocate for military kids attending civilian schools as well as current issues affecting curriculum and regionalization of smaller school districts. I also sit on the Advisory Board for the Military Family Advisory Network.
I have an educational background in Human Resources and Communications, with a Bachelor's in Business Administration and a Master's in Human Resources.
I live happily ever after in my home state of New Jersey with my husband, two kids, one greyhound and two ferrets.
